Equalizer Piranha blades use the same cutting technology as the original HydroBlades™ with the added feature of serration on each side of the blade.
These serrations cause the blade to pull into the cut and guide you.
When used correctly, Piranha blades are very effective.

IMPORTANT! Piranha blades are more aggressive than traditional HydroBlades™, and must be lubricated with water!

Choose the right blade (W” x L”):

NARROW WIDTH (1-1/2″) STANDARD WIDTH (3″)
STANDARD LENGTH (10″)
  • For most vehicles.
  • For removing and saving glass that is not broken.
  • For most vehicles.
  • Slices through wide bands of urethane, plunge cutting or angle cutting when glass is already broken.
EXTRA LENGTH (12″ and 14″)
  • Extra reach when urethane is far below dash or there’s limited vertical space.
  • For removing and saving glass that is not broken.

  • SHARPEN: Keep blades sharp. NEVER use dull blades! Sharpen only the tapered side of the blade.
  • LUBRICATE: Always lubricate the blade and glass surface by spraying on liberal amounts of plain tap water.  Lubricate the sheath with high-heat grease.
  • PROPER USE:  The FLAT side of the blade should ALWAYS be against the glass.  Start the tool before penetrating the adhesive.
